Meet Our Team
Nancy Snyder
Nancy Snyder, MBA, (Owner/Administrator) has 40 years experience in the long-term care field. She has a Nursing Home Administrator License and is a Certified Activity Director and a Certified Dementia Care Coordinator.
Nancy has worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and with non-medical home care. She served as an administrator at two assisted living homes and has worked in all areas of the facility including activities, marketing and admissions, HR, scheduling and staffing, IT, financial both planning and actual billing and payroll.
Nancy also previously had a rental property management company and has made every venture she has been involved in successful by taking on most of these positions when the facility or department was failing in order to bring it into compliance and profitability.
Jennifer Butler
Jennifer Butler (Care Manager) has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 20 years. She began her career as a CNA in 2000 and her most recent position has been as a client advocate for a home healthcare agency where she was responsible for talking with clients and scheduling assessments to determine the level of care needed.
Jennifer has vast knowledge of resident rights and has always been an advocate for the patients she serves. Her many years of office experience and as a scheduler in assisted living and memory care will provide confidence and security to clients.
Dennis Cashen
Position: Caregiver
With more than 25 years of experience in the mental health and social work fields, Dennis brings a wealth of professional expertise to the Caring Companions team. In addition to a long career in social work, Dennis also has a background as an Occupational Therapist. On a daily basis, Dennis provides clients with essential companionship, light housework, and transportation to various appointments.
For Dennis, the most rewarding aspect of the job is the opportunity to meet many different people and learn about their unique life stories and families. Outside of work, Dennis is an avid traveler who has visited Ireland, Italy, and various places across the United States. Above all, Dennis enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
Brittany Chaney
Position: Caregiver
This dedicated caregiver joined Caring Companions with a strong foundation in home care, having worked for other companies in the industry. Her passion for caregiving began personally, through the experience of taking care of their own grandparents. Her daily responsibilities include personal care, housekeeping, light cleaning, running errands, and providing medication reminders and companionship.
What makes the work meaningful for Brittany is seeing the tangible impact they have on the health and daily lives of both clients and their families. “Being someone others rely on makes me feel good and like my job matters,” she shared. In her free time, she enjoys photography, racing, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
Maria “Masha” Johnson
Position: Caregiver
Maria’s history of helping others started at a very young age. Long before joining Caring Companions, Maria gained experience caring for grandparents and even spent time visiting shut-ins as a child. Today, Maria’s role focuses heavily on providing companionship and driving clients to their necessary appointments.
The highlight of the job for Maria is the human connection, specifically noting, “I really enjoy the conversations”. A person of faith, Maria is a Christian who finds joy in creative hobbies like crochet. When relaxing, Maria also enjoys watching movies from the 1970s.
